We got on the minibus and visited our local library. We found out that it costs nothing to join. If we join the library we will get a library card and we will be able to take out up to 15 books at a time, for 3 weeks! The librarian also told us that they have afterschool lego club, exercise club and craft club during the week. We also really enjoyed being able to look at the books. WOW! What a great trip!

Year 5 trip to St. Albans Verulanium 2025 16th Nov 2025

The Year 5 children have been learning about the Romans and as part of the topic they visited the Verulanium in St Albans. During the visit the children gained an understanding of Roman daily life at Verulamium, developed their reasoning and observation skills though object handling and gained specific knowledge of Roman food, clothing, and lifestyle/pastimes.

Pupils in Year 6 took part in an incredibly moving and thought-provoking 'Remembrance Assembly'. They heard anecdotes from veteran soldiers, heard from individuals currently serving in both the Royal Navy and Army and reflected upon their sacrifices.

The children used a range of tools to plant 150 bulbs and build a bug hotel using recylced resources. We even welcome our first guest.!

The year 3 & 4 children competed against the other schools in the West and North Zones in Luton. The children were crowned champions and will go onto represent Luton at the County Finals in 2026.

During the last week, Year 6 classes visited Dunstable Downs as part of their Geography and Fieldwork curriculum. Children had the opportunity to use compasses to follow OS maps, fly kites and build dens. Although wet and windy at times, great fun was had by all!

We had another great turnout for the coffee morning. Bernard from the Youth Service shared a fantastic video on knife crime, which was well received. The event also provided parents with an opportunity to connect with several organisations. Another informative event and we looking forward to hosting similar events in the future.
