In Reception, we have been making Christmas biscuits. First, we smelt the different flavours which were: orange, cinnamon and ginger. Then each class voted for the flavour they wanted to make. We mixed butter flour, milk, and sugar until we made a dough. When the dough was ready, we rolled and chose a cutter to make our biscuits. We enjoyed our biscuits and also made enough for year 1. As a thank you to year 1 for their wonderful Nativity, we took the biscuits and sang some lovely Christmas songs to say thank you! It was lots of fun!

Year 5 children who have mastered cycle control took part in Level 2 cycle training with experienced instructors. During the sessions, children were taken onto residential roads for 'real' cycling experience, covering key practical activities like negotiating junctions, responding to hazards, and communicating with other road users - preparing them to ride independently on our busy roads.

The Year 5 children have been learning about the Romans, and as part of the topic, they visited the Verulamium Museum in St Albans. During the visit, the children gained an understanding of Roman daily life at Verulamium, developed their reasoning and observation skills through object handling, and acquired specific knowledge of Roman food, clothing, and lifestyle/pastimes.

Year 3 took part in a live Assembly with explorer Robert Swann OBE direct from Antarctica. They learnt about the conditions in Antarctica as well as the effects of climate change. The children were also introduced to the 2041 project which aims to protect Antarctic for future generations.

We got on the minibus and visited our local library. We found out that it costs nothing to join. If we join the library we will get a library card and we will be able to take out up to 15 books at a time, for 3 weeks! The librarian also told us that they have afterschool lego club, exercise club and craft club during the week. We also really enjoyed being able to look at the books. WOW! What a great trip!

Pupils in Year 6 took part in an incredibly moving and thought-provoking 'Remembrance Assembly'. They heard anecdotes from veteran soldiers, heard from individuals currently serving in both the Royal Navy and Army and reflected upon their sacrifices.
