ZSL Whipsnade Zoo Community Take Over

On the 12th of June the eco-club and the winners from Year 5 joined the amazing staff at Whipsnade Zoo as part of the `Community Take Over` day -the opportunity to give a presentation about a chosen animal infront of that animal! (It looks like the tiger is listening to the presentation)

 Before being selcted the children had to research their animal and identifiy their adapatations and also how ZSL are helping to protect the animals for future generations. The children from eco-club were chosen due to their dedication to conservation over the year.

However, the Year 5 children were set the task of working in teams to  research their animal and then create a presentation. The best 3 groups were then selected to represent the school at Whipsnade. Overall, 170 children were involved in the project with 30 children respresenting the school. 

A huge thanks to Matthew and his team at Whipsnade Zoo. The children had a once in a lifetime opportunity and we are so proud of all of them for being brave and giving some amazing presenation.
